Scale Laser Service from Peddinghaus Decals makes a range of laser-cut wooden accessories.
The range includes ammo boxes & transport crates as well as other useful items like road signs. All are supplied on a wooden fret & are easily cut & assembled using white glue.
Using lasers to cut small boxes & cartons out of thin wood is a great idea. You are using the same material as the original for one – so paint finishing should be considerably easier.
Closer inspection shows that the concept does yield positive results. The wood has a pleasing grain texture & good colouration.
If you give them a wash with a dark enamel product, you’ll significantly improve the overall appearance & further enhance the realism.
